We left Lyon quite early and headed towards the Alps. We made our way to Valloire, a ski-resort south of Chambery. Valloire is beautiful. I would like to go back there again apparently I said that numerous times while we were there. The campsite was lovely and the scenery and weather was wonderful. From the girls point of view the good things about Valloire were the huge playpark, the mini-train, the telecabine ride up into the mountains and the two French girls that camped beside us with their kitten.
Andrew and I love mountains. Pre-kids we would never have come to a place like Valloire without skiing or climbing. It felt strange to go up in a cable car, have a coffee, look around for a bit and come back down, while everyone else was skiing! However, it was good to show the girls an environment that we love and hopefully theyll grow to love too.
