Thursday 25th October - South Africa - Cape Town (Day 7)
From now until we return home we are staying in Camps Bay, a beautiful little town on the edge of the main city. We are staying in Shell Cottage a villa that we booked before leaving Scotland. Its an ideal place for us 4 en-suite bedrooms, a pool, a playpark across the road, 3 minutes walk to the horseshoe bay and a church about 2 doors up the road.

Today Hugh and Mary took the Land Cruiser and went away for the day to visit friends who live about 90 minutes drive from Cape Town. The rest of us had a very lazy and relaxing day around the villa and Camps Bay.

The kids are very happy and excited about being with Granny and Papa again. Very quickly it felt as if wed never been away.

Before we left the UK we got an email from Andrew and Jaye, a couple who were planning a similar route to ourselves, leaving about a month before us. We made use of their travel tips as we drove through Africa and so we were happy to hear that they were still in Cape Town. This evening we took advantage of the grandparents for babysitting and we climbed Lions Head (a peak along from Table Mountain) with Andrew, Jaye and Andrews brother, Richard. It was a full moon tonight and the sunset was a red glow reflected on the ocean. We enjoyed Andrew, Jaye and Richards company whilst we all soaked in the 360 degrees of glorious views.
